Edward P. Jones

Born in 1951, Edward P. Jones grew up in Washington, D.C. and earned his MFA in writing at the university of Virgina.
Jones' first book, Lost in the City (1991) won the Pen/Hemingway Award. He won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction, the National Book Critics Circle Award, the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, and the Lannan Literary Award for The Known World (2004).
