Dan Brown Biography:
Dan Brown was born in 1964 in Exeter, New Hampshire, where he attended prep school at Phillips Exeter Acadamy. He later studied Englsih at Amherst College in Massachusetts and returned to Phillips Exeter to teach English before pursuing a writing career.
Brown has authored four detective thrillers: Digital Fortress (1997), Angels and Demons (2000), Deception Point (2001), and The Da Vinci Code (2003).
The Da Vinci Code has remained at the top of the best seller lists since its publication, has been translated into 44 languages, and has sold nearly 25 million copies as of this writing (May 2005). It is the source of much controversy concerning its own historical accuracy.
