R.I.P. Harold Pinter

Nobel laureate Harold Pinter died last night at the age of 78. He had been suffering from cancer.

Perhaps Britain's most famous playwright, Pinter was awarded the Nobel Prize in literature in 2005. Pinter wrote such plays as The Homecoming (1864), Mountain Language (1988) , and The Birthday Party (1957). His screenwriting credits include The French Lieutenant's Woman (1981).
