What I Talk About When I Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami
When Haruki Murakami (Kafka on the Shore) traded the physically demanding job of running his jazz club for the sedentary routine of a professional novelist, he learned he was going to have to make some life changes. For one thing, he was going to have to quit smoking 60 cigarettes a day. For another, he'd have to start exercising, more specifically he'd have to start running.
Murakami expounds on the art of running, what it means to him, and how it relates to his writing in What I Talk About When I Talk About Running.
