Last Lecturer, Randy Pausch, Dies

Friday July 25, 2008

"We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand."

Randy Pausch played his hand well. In life the Carnegie Mellon University computer scientist achieved his dreams, and while dying from cancer he crafted a message to his three children to teach them how to do the same. That message took the form of a 2007 presentation at Carnegie Mellon entitled The Last Lecture. The inspiring talk has since been viewed by millions and in 2008 was re-crafted as a best-selling book also titled The Last Lecture.

An inspiration to those he touched in life, Randy Pausch, in dying, was able to touch and inspire millions more. He passed away this morning at the age of 47. Read more about Randy Pausch and The Last Lecture.
