The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao wins Pulitzer
Tuesday April 8, 2008

Junot Diaz was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for fiction yesterday for The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, a fusion of a multi-generational view into immigrant experience with one nerd's 1980's coming-of-age story. Diaz threw in more than a dash of Dominican Republic history also just for good measure.

Absolutely loved every word on this book - even the Spanish that I didn’t understand. My favorite book of 2008 - congratulations to Junot Diaz!! Let’s just hope his next book takes less time to write.
