The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao wins Pulitzer

Junot Diaz was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for fiction yesterday for The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, a fusion of a multi-generational view into immigrant experience with one nerd's 1980's coming-of-age story. Diaz threw in more than a dash of Dominican Republic history also just for good measure.

Absolutely loved every word on this book – even the Spanish that I didn’t understand. My favorite book of 2008 – congratulations to Junot Diaz!! Let’s just hope his next book takes less time to write.
