Queen of Darkness Returns

Wednesday February 27, 2008

In 2005, Anne Rice turned away from her Vampire Chronicles and towards religious fiction, declaring that she would never again write about vampires. Recently however, Rice told Time Magazine that she will write just one more book about the vampire Lestat.

March 4 is the release date of Christ the Lord: The Road to Cana, the second novel in her life of Christ series. Her plan is to write the third novel in that series before she writes the vampire book she is now planning. Rice says that it will diverge from the previous Vampire Chronicle novels in that Lestat will be wrestling with his own belief in God.
