Harry Potter and the Unapproachable Book Sales

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince sold more copies in the U.S. on the first day of its release than any other book sold during the entire year 2005, 7.02 million copies according to Nielsen BookScan, a company that tracks book sales.

Thanks to Oprah Winfrey, A Million Little Pieces snagged the number two spot with 1.77 million copies sold last year.
