Martin Luther King Day

Monday January 17, 2005
The third monday of each January is Martin Luther King Day in honor of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. whose birthday was January 15, 1929. King is unparalleled in his significance as a leader in civil rights and nonviolence in the U.S. For more information on how you can participate in Martin Luther King Day, visit MLKday.org.

If you're interested in learing more about Reverend King and his teachings, I would recommend A Testament of Hope : The Essential Writings and Speeches of Martin Luther King, Jr..
