2003 National Book Festival

Finally - a governmental initiative we can ALL get behind! As a way to encourage people to pick up a book, the Library of Congress has created third annual National Book Festival hosted by Laura Bush. The event is FREE and will take place on Saturday, October 4th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the National Mall in Washington, DC. It will feature more than 80 award-winning authors, illustrators, poets and storytellers. Read the press release.
