Banned Books Week: Sept. 20-27, 2003

Friday September 5, 2003
Thousands of bookstores and libraries nationwide will celebrate the freedom to read during Banned Books Week, September 20-27, with readings of books that have been banned from Maya Angelou’s I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Check out the ALA's Most Frequently Challenged Books of 2002 and support your local library or bookstore.
